Ambeo Debuts Suite for
Assuring Data Privacy and Compliance at IDUG 2005
Acclaimed solution delivers
new features to protect corporate information
Denver, CO – May 23, 2005
Ambeo, an industry leader in database access auditing
solutions, announced that it will be showcasing its
newest release of the award-winning Ambeo Suite, Version
3.1, this week at IDUG 2005 North America, the premier
educational forum for DB2 users across all platforms.
Ambeo will demonstrate the next-generation solution
from May 23-25, 2005 at its exhibition booth.
Launched last month, the next-generation suite is a
timely answer to the growing challenge of preventing
unauthorized access to corporate data. As more attacks
and theft of sensitive data are uncovered to increasing
public attention, organizations face intense scrutiny
and are worried about liability as well as damage to
their reputations. Further, complex regulations such
as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Gramm-Leach-Bliley have
made compliance issues involving database access and
usage more challenging.
"In today’s information-based economy, a
record amount of private information about people, like
you and me, lives on corporate servers which are susceptible
to prying eyes," said Ken Richardson, president
and chief technology officer of Ambeo. "There is
too much at stake for companies not to give data privacy
the highest priority. Our new release is a more powerful
early-warning system and first line of defense against
suspicious database activities, from either inside or
outside a company, and also creates a clear audit trail
to ensure regulatory compliance."
In improving upon its acclaimed solution, Ambeo included
many customer-driven enhancements to both the robust
report capabilities and real-time monitoring of its
software suite.
New reporting features include:
Expanded
report templates to help identify suspicious database
activity;
Enhanced
PDF, HTML and graphic formats that improve the ability
to publish and share reports about database
usage within customers' companies;
Improved
user control over report layout and content;
Ability
to schedule the unattended production of usage tracking
and regulatory compliance reports; and
A
new capability to easily drill down into the details
underlying a data usage report.
The new real-time data auditing
and monitoring features include:
Support
for more complex filter expressions that help identify
suspicious database activity in real-time; and
Performance
enhancements that support real-time anomaly-detection
against more databases simultaneously.
For nearly a decade, Ambeo has provided database access
auditing solutions for user access monitoring and data
